Crescent Public School, Ballarpur AND Creative Minds Pre School jointly marked the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule with solemn dignity and a strong message on the transformative power of education. The programme was held on the school campus in the presence of the teaching fraternity of Crescent Public School and Creative Minds Pre-School, Ballarpur, reflecting a collective commitment to the ideals championed by the pioneering educationist and social reformer. The observance began with garlanding of the portrait of Savitribai Phule by Advocate Nazim Khan, symbolising respect for her lifelong struggle for women’s education, social equality and human dignity. The atmosphere resonated with reverence as students and teachers recalled her fearless efforts to challenge entrenched social barriers and to open the doors of learning for girls and the marginalised.
Addressing the gathering, Parul Bharne delivered an inspiring speech highlighting Savitribai Phule’s contribution to Indian society, her role as the country’s first woman teacher, and the relevance of her vision in contemporary times. The speech underscored that education remains the most powerful instrument of social change, echoing Savitribai Phule’s belief that knowledge empowers individuals to question injustice and shape a just society. Principal Mrs. Humaira Khan, along with all the teachers of Crescent Public School and Creative Minds Pre-School, Ballarpur, remained present throughout the programme, lending their support and guidance. The celebration served not only as a tribute to Savitribai Phule’s legacy but also as a reminder to students and educators alike to uphold values of equality, compassion and inclusive education in everyday practice.
