LEGO and Nintendo are back with another exciting innovation — this time blending physical blocks with augmented reality (AR) to bring Mario and friends into your living room!
The all-new “LEGO Super Mario AR Quest” was officially announced today and is expected to launch worldwide in August 2025.
???? Real Bricks, Virtual Adventure
Using a mobile app and AR glasses (optional), kids can build LEGO sets and then see animated game elements — like coins, enemies, and power-ups — appear in real-time on screen.
????️ “It’s like building a Mario level… and then jumping inside it!” said lead developer Jakob Nielsen.
???? How It Works:
-
Kids build physical LEGO sets
-
The app scans the setup using your phone/tablet camera
-
Characters and challenges pop up in AR — like Bowser throwing fireballs or coins floating in the air
-
Kids move Mario around the build to “complete” levels
???? What’s in the Box?
Each starter set includes:
-
Mario figure with motion sensor
-
AR markers
-
App access for iOS and Android
-
Building bricks & guidebook
More expansion packs (like Luigi’s Mansion or Princess Peach’s Castle) will release later this year.
???? Pricing and Availability:
-
Launch Date: August 15, 2025
-
Price: ₹8,499 (Starter Set)
-

???? Safe & Screen-Time Friendly
The AR game is designed to be movement-based and includes screen time limits to keep gameplay balanced and healthy.
???? Global Hype
Parents, educators, and gamers alike are praising the concept.
????️ “It’s a perfect mix of hands-on play and modern tech,” said one early tester.
????️ “My son has been building Mario levels for hours — and now he can actually play them!”
