Google has launched a brand-new wearable tech for children — AI-powered reading glasses that help kids improve their reading skills in real time!
The product, called “Read Along Glasses,” uses a tiny camera and AI voice assistant to help kids read books out loud, identify difficult words, and improve pronunciation.
???? A Pair of Glasses That Teaches
The device works like this:
-
Children wear the lightweight smart glasses
-
They open a book and start reading
-
If they mispronounce or skip a word, the AI gives gentle feedback
-
It also offers audio definitions and reading encouragement
????️ “It’s like having a reading tutor sitting on your nose,” joked a Google engineer during the launch.
???? Built for Early Learners
The glasses are designed for ages 5 to 10 and support multiple languages including English, Hindi, and Spanish.
They’re also screen-free, meaning kids don’t need to look at a phone or tablet to use the device — a big win for parents concerned about too much screen time.

???????? Educators React
Teachers are calling it a “breakthrough” for kids who struggle with reading or lack access to private tutoring.
????️ “This could help bridge reading gaps in low-income households,” said literacy expert Dr. Rupa Singh.
????️ “It empowers children to read on their own without feeling judged.”
